For Mom | Great Gifts for Mother's Day from Uncommon Goods

Being far from home has mom on my mind.

Over the weekend, my mom and I were reminiscing about the old days and how much more I appreciate her unconditional love and support now that I'm a adult. It's amazing the perspective that comes with age! Any lady that can put up with my stubborn "suburban rebel without a cause" phase deserves years and years of making it up to her, so I figured I would start with some thoughtful gifts.

Find unique gifts for mom here from Uncommon Goods, a fabulous site I'm partnering with today. I especially love this site because they support small businesses and artists when possible. Here are some of my favorites from their collection:

So, the thought of my mom recollecting and journaling about her life for not only me, but my kids to reminisce on later, makes me so happy That's why I loved the  "My Life Story So Far" Journal
and "Treasured Passages- A letter book between a mother and her daughter." I could just imagine her filling up these pages with her handwriting and telling long forgotten memories. I've been really into letters lately...the simplicity and nostalgia of seeing actual handwriting (a lost art these days) and taking the time to write a heartfelt message to a loved one.

I also loved this DIY Bath Salts Kit. I'm always trying to get my mom to relax, so this would be a fun little afternoon project to encourage her!

Here is another sentimental gift for mom: The Family Cookbook, a custom cookbook complete with plenty of room for notes and stories. (This would also be a great wedding gift complete with a few family favorites!)
And for all the times we're munching on snacks and laughing about life, this Ampersand Cheese and Crackers Serving Board is just adorable.

Though I won't be with mom this holiday, I'm sure a sentimental gift like these will make her smile. Find more Mother's Day gifts at Uncommon Goods. What are you planning for mom this year?
